Unformatted text preview: Unit 4 Project The Soundtrack of My Life Joanna Aeschbacker I grew up around music. It has been a part of my life since the day I was born. My parents were the quintessential hippy couple back in their day and music was what brought them together. My father, who is close to retirement now, has been a small town performer since he was fifteen years old. He can sing well and he can play every instrument he picks up. His favorite instruments are the upright bass and acoustic guitar. He currently works as a piano tuner and is part of four different local bands, which all play a different genre of music. I’m thankful that he adds so much light to mine and my children’s life with his music. My mother, on the other hand, cannot carry a tune to save her life, but you can literally see the affect music has on her when she is passionate about it. She loves to sing and dance and isn’t shy about it, which generates the same amount of light as listening to my father’s music. Her happy go lucky attitude about music and life in general is contagious and uplifting. My family is extremely close and I’m very thankful my parents can express love in some many ways and my children can be a part of that....
