Torres,Jessica 1 Article Analysis wk 2 “Virtual pornography” is the term given to video depictions of child-child or child- adult sexual Activity in which the “participants” are not actual children but realistic computer-generated images of children. The Federal Child Pornography, but in April 2002 the US Supreme Court declared the ban unconstitutional. (The court upheld the section of the law that bans pornographic depictions of actual children, however.) Evaluate virtual pornography from an ethical standpoint. When you hear the term “virtual”, you immediately think of the future and the internet. The virtual super highway was said lead us into the future and has no limits. Should there be limitations when it comes to the safety of your children? You have age restricted rating for TV, Music, and video games, so why the internet isn’t as restricted. Kids of all ages can access any page they want with a click of a mouse, and false birthday information which puts them as an adult. If kids can get anywhere they want on the internet than what’s to stop others from getting to your kids. The internet has been a hunting ground for sexual predators to find their prey, your kids. It has been said that more than 200 new photos are circulating the internet every day. UNICEF estimates that between 10,000 and 100,000 minors are victim of the child pornography network each year (Darlington, 2010). What kind of
