Then answer the following questions: 1.) What type of expressive writing is this? This piece of expressive writing is a journal utilizing a personal perspective. This is because in the essay, immediate impressions are recorded, matters of importance to the writer are dealt with, the nature of self is explored, associations are made and episodes are recounted. 2.) What immediate impressions and perceptions are recorded? The immediate impressions of Betty Tower’s son is recorded by the writer. “I saw nothing of this, being a stranger, except in his bonny eyes, which had such a sweet brightness in them when any thing was said to him that made him ashamed &draw his chin into his neck, while he sent his eyes upwards to look at you”.
