White (pg. 42); Growing up Asian in America by Kesaya E. Noda (pg. 121); 9 Failures of the Imagination by Jonathan Lethem (pg. 142). Title: You must have a title for your paper, and it cannot be the same as the story being analyzed. Paper Tense: YOU MUST WRITE IN PRESENT TENSE. POV: WRITE IN THIRD PERSON (NO “I,” “YOU,” “WE”), except for in the concluding paragraph where you are evaluating the text. You may use first person in this paragraph. Things to Remember : 1.
