LEB Assignment #3 Hilton vs. Starwood There are many questions that came to my mind when reading about Hilton and Starwood. These two hotel chains have been competitive rivals for a long time so it is understandable that Starwood wants to get to the bottom of this and see if Hilton used Starwood’s stolen plans to create the Denizen Brand. I will analyze actions Hilton and its employees used and discuss them in terms of ethics. Hilton employees Ross Klein and Amar Lalvani stole 100,000 documents from Starwood after leaving the company. These aren’t just a couple of documents that could have accidently been taken. These include trade secrets and other information that ended in the homes of both employees and at Hilton offices. These 100,000 documents ending in these locations aren’t mere coincidence. These employees made ill decisions with intentions that could hurt both Hilton and Starwood financially.
