A cover sheet, which is found at the bottom of the Assignments page in the ECSE304 webCT site, should be handed in with each assignment. MatLab Exercises In all MatLab Exercises, you are to show all your work and hand in both your MatLab code and the plots that you generate. Problem M-1: You are to select coefficients { } k a and { } k b to implement a notch filter which is useful for removing one frequency component while leaving other frequency components undisturbed. The notch filter will be implemented from the cascade of two simpler filters whose Frequency Response magnitudes are shown in Figure F1: Figure F1 a) Start by designing two filters, one to implement the FIR Filter and the other to implement the Feedback Filter given in Figure F1.
