Group Communication 2 The difference between group communication and individual communication is in-group communication the message is for a team or department and in an individual communication; it is for one person or between two people. Group communication is for three or more people working on a project or a department and everyone needs to know the same message. Both of these types of communications can use the same strategies for either individual or group communications. The first and most important strategy is listening. As, listening is the most important in individual and group communication. When the other person or people listen, they may hear something that they need to know about the project. Actively listening will help the others in the group so that they can be involved in the project, this also works for individual communication when it is one on one speaking of a project.
