Tuition Reimbursement Implementation Report 2 The importance of companies implementing a tuition reimbursement program for those employees that are willing to further their education as this gives the assistance for more education. Establishing a tuition-reimbursement program for those employees of the company that want to learn more to move up in the company is a great idea. This not only cuts cost later when the employees change departments, because the new employee can learn from the employee that is changing departments. This will cut down on the cost of training any new employees for the position. The government now has a program that gives assistance to those companies that enroll employees in this program. The IRS lets companies contribute up to $5,250 for tax free, reimbursement. (all Business) Every year the federal government has grants that are available to businesses that they may take advantage of to further the education of its employees. These classes can be from a degree program to the learning of a new software like Microsoft Office (word, excel, and access). Some of the others are programs like leadership, learning how to handle a bad situation the correct way. “Education is a key factor in fueling economic growth, but the educational attainment of our workers is slipping badly” (Bosworth 2008). Since the advancement of technology, education becomes increasingly valuable as well as its utilization in various aspects on the job. Many organizations acknowledge that employees are the most beneficial assets, undoubtedly, because of the dedication and commitment they maintain; however, a program created to assist in the endeavors of an educational stature will create countless invaluable employees, also awards organizations with a competitive advantage with attracting potential employees. By enabling employees to continue their education, they are more likely to improve their work
