Legalizing cloning is a futuristic idea that is currently unsafe. Cloning humans can bring catastrophic results. For example, the first animal clone in the world was Dolly the Sheep. However, it had some major flaws. Dolly died at a very young age. She died six years earlier than the average lifespan of a regular sheep. Also, Dolly was one out of nearly 300 other embryos to get cloned. There were also several other deformed sheeps as well. This is an extremely low success rate. Now imagine if we tried to clone humans. We would spend around hundreds of dollars just to get one embryo cloned. Also, what would we do with the unsuccessful embryos, or the clones that have deformities? It would be inhumane and morally wrong if we were to dispose these defects that are also classified as human beings. Many people think that cloning is a source to claim back their loved ones from the dead. However, there are major setbacks to this idea.
