SWOT ANALYSIS-MOUNT SINAI BETH ISRAEL HOSPITAL 2AbstractOrganizational leadership and management play a critical aspect in determining the success of anorganization. It is the control of an organization that has the power to influence its workers so that there is the maximum production of quality products and services. For instance, healthcare organizations across the world have the mandate of ensuring that patients receive excellent healthcare services so as to restore their normal health. However, these healthcare organizations face serious difficulties that are both internal and external, which hinder the normal operations. MountSinai Beth Israel Hospital, for example, has both weakness and strengths that affect its procedures of rendering quality healthcare services to people. These weakness and strengths include both internal and external factors that affect the operations of the hospital. Therefore, this project looks into both external and internal factors that affect Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital. By analyzing these factors, some of the internal factors that affect the hospital’s operations include leadership and management at various departments, infrastructure, and workermotivation. External factors that affect the hospital’s operations include technology, politics, government, customers, suppliers of hospital equipment and drugs and other competing hospitals. Analysis of these factors indicates that for an organization to be successful, it must conduct SWOT analysis from time to time so that it can be able to attain its visions and missions.

It is situated on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The hospital is well known for its unique methodology of merging medical merit with clinical novelty. The hospital has recruited different specialists to serve in various departments torender professional services aimed at solving health challenges like cancer, heart diseases, orthopedics, and neurology. The hospital also offers healthcare services to patients suffering fromgastrointestinal diseases, psychiatric disorders, and HIV/AIDS. The hospital faces high competition by the surrounding hospitals that provide same health services such as Bellevue Hospital Center and NYU Langone Medical Center. Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital competes with these hospitals for the limited number of specialists that are available in New York.
