Unformatted text preview: I believe the writer wanted to show that before as children we were able to just what ice cream and be kids but now we know what artificial colors are and all these other facts that were just bogus before. He portrays that in his image where he has a young boy saying “Ancient Picts painted themselves blue to show fierceness in battle.” (Thompson, 2011), because what child actually says that? I believe that only naive children and brainy children are really represented in this comic strip. This strip leaves out a huge majority of the population of readers not being represented in this strip. References: Berger, A. (2008).
