Explain the legal and ethical principles you need to follow for all visual image use. What do you need to adhere to when using images in the workplace? What is the impact of computer technologies on legal image use? Respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings. The exact definition for Copyright is “laws that regulate the use of the work of a creator, such as an artist or author. This includes copying, distributing, altering and displaying creative, literary and other types of work.” (Lerner & Bresler, 2006) I believe that you need to adhere to all copyright policies of the image that you are trying to use in the workplace. I think images and computer technologies makes it more difficult to keep up with copyright laws and to know if someone is using your images or not because it is so way too copy and paste images with all of the advancements in today’s day and age. There are many web pages that have created blocks on being able to use copy and paste on websites.
