Understanding the Patient Intake Process In this weeks assignment we were asked to write an essay discussing strategies to improve the patient intake efficiency that is not covered in the text. Once the a patient has been put into the health care system there is a vital need for knowing how and understanding the patient intake process. When the patient comes into a clinic or any facility all of the information is taken and that is very important for the first time. Then you have to do the preregistration and the scheduling information, this includes the assignment of benefits, the patients medical history, the acknowledgement of receipt of the notices of the privacy that the facility gathers for the when the patient enters the system for the first time.
