Religion Religion is a way of bringing people of a like mind together to worship their deity or deities. 3. Theistic Theistic is the name for the religions centered on a person’s relationship with their god or gods. 4. Monotheistic Monotheistic is to believe the deity being worshipped as the only God. 5. Profane The term profane means the ordinary things that happen in life. 6. Polytheistic To be polytheistic is to believe in multiple deities. 7. Monistic To be monistic is to believe there is a supreme god ruling all other gods. 8. Dogma This term refers to the doctrines that are preached and accepted as being true, even if a person has not had a personal experience from it. 9. Nontheistic Nontheistic refers to terms such as the Way, and changeless unity.
