If you do get major depression it will reoccur throughout your life. Dysthymic depression: Minor depression that last over 2 years. o Might experience one or more episodes of depression in their lifetime. They are right on the borderline Psychotic depression: When you have depression and psychosis at the same time. (hallucination, they have break from reality) Post-partum depression: New mother develops a depressive episodes right after giving birth within one month of giving birth. It is estimated that 10-15% of women get diagnosed. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Depression during the winter months because the there is less sun light, the days are shorter and there are more clouds in the sky. They experience SAD when the time changes o ½ of the people with SAD are treated with light therapy, exposing them to a specific
