Axia College Material Appendix D Contingency Theory of Leadership Description of work environment I have chosen a banking call center. This environment consists of 40 employees, 2 shift supervisors, and 1 manager. The requirements of the department are to answer phone calls from customers concerning their online banking accounts. The employees are required to assist the customers and also sell additional banking products the customers might need. Customer service is the most important focus in this department. In the table below, categorize different leadership approaches that could be used in the work environment you have described. Provide different suggestions for each of the four approaches to leadership. Directive approach Supportive approach In this approach the leaders would guide and train the employees in the proper techniques to perform their duties. There would be specific rules and guidelines set forth for the employees to follow.
