Les mots interrogatifs : Qui? Who? Que? What? Quand? When? Où? Where? Pourquoi? Why? Comment? How? Quelques autres : Combien de. ..? Quel(s)/Quelle(s)? Trois moyens pour poser des questions (quand on parle) : 1) Inversion 2) Pitch 3) Est-ce que. .. Par exemple, prenez la frase “L’étudiant achète un livre.” Former une question avec: Inversion : Achète l’étudiant un livre? Est-ce que : Est-ce que l’étudiant achète un livre? **On n’a pas besoin d’ inverser le verbe et le sujet quand on utilise “est-ce que” ”Est-ce que” can be used with “les mots interrogatifs” when forming a question. Un mot interrogatif + est-ce que : Qu’est-ce que l’étudiant achète? ** Note that the verb and subject does not need to be inverted in this form either. Notes for using Inversion : When using inversion, names should not follow the verb. Rather, replace the name with a

Correct : Va-t-il au supermarch? Pitch When asking a question, youre pitch should go up towards the end. This allows the listener to hear that this is a question and not a statement.
