Crime 2 The following three scenarios involve the theft of Makoto’s laptop. Although the three scenarios are similar, they are distinctly different in the manner they were carried out. Each involves a different process in which they were carried out with the same end result, Sarah stealing Makoto’s laptop. In the first scenario Sarah has wrongfully taken and carried away Makoto’s laptop with the intent to permanently deprive ownership to Makoto. There was no force or fear involved in this crime, as is involved in robbery. In the second scenario Sarah forcibly took Makoto’s laptop from him at gunpoint and this crime is aggravated robbery. It is aggravated robbery because of the use of a deadly weapon, the gun, in the robbery. In the third scenario Sarah takes Makoto’s laptop by breaking the lock on the door, entering, and leaving with the laptop. This constitutes as burglary because of breaking and entering into the house at night with the intent to steal Makoto’s laptop (Jentz, G. A., &
