Course Objectives Knowledge objectives Upon completion of this course, students will able to describe and understand the following: Basic units and terms related to acoustics Basic anatomy and physiology of the auditory system Relation between physical aspects of sound and how the human auditory system perceives them Skill objectives Upon completion of this course, students will able to Apply these fundamental concepts to more advanced principles and theories of hearing Integrate the knowledge of basic acoustics with the structure and function of the auditory system to understand how and what we hear Textbooks Recommended “Fundamentals of Hearing: An Introduction (5th Ed.)
