Applications Indicator lights: These can be two-state (i.e., on/off), bar-graph, or alphabetic-numeric readouts. LCD panel backlighting : Specialized white LEDs are used in flat-panel computer displays. Fiber optic data transmission : Ease of modulation allows wide communications bandwidth with minimal noise, resulting in high speed and accuracy. Remote control : Most home-entertainment "remotes" use IREDs to transmit data to the main unit. Optoisolator: Stages in an electronic system can be connected together without unwanted interaction.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
