1 PCB4723 Laboratory Butterfly Rainforest Assignment Requirements Fall 2010 Butterfly Rainforest Assignments: I. Proposal 40 points II. Oral Report/Presentation 30 points III. Discussion Participation 10 points IV. Evaluations by Audience 20 points Students will be required to visit the UF Butterfly Rainforest between Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, November 7, 2010. Failure to visit and sign in at the park will prohibit students from turning in and acquiring points associated with butterfly rainforest assignments . Park information is available at http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/butterflies/ . Bring your Gator1 ID and sign in with park attendants for attendance. Butterfly Proposal: When you visit the Butterfly Rainforest you are to observe the butterflies and think about questions related to physiology (thermoregulation, water balance, locomotion, energetic, etc.). Then you should formulate one question/hypothesis related to your observations and curiosity, and propose how you might investigate the hypothesis. The proposal should contain the following
