Updated October 29, 2010 Page 1 PCB 4723C Laboratory Syllabus Physiology & Molecular Biology of Animals Laboratory Fall 2010 COURSE DESCRIPTION: The laboratory sessions provide an arena for comprehensive understanding of current quantitative methods and techniques of physiological investigation. This laboratory course complements biological concepts and physiological processes and mechanisms the student will learn about during lecture meetings. The prerequisites for this course are general biology (BSC 2011), general chemistry (CHM 2046 or 2047), and general physics (either PHY 2048 or PHY 2053 or PHY 2060), all with minimum grades of C. Genetics and biochemistry are recommended, but not a strict requirement. REQUIRED MATERIALS: Required Reading Materials will be provided via the course website at http://www.biology.ufl.edu/courses/pcb4723/2010fall/Lillywhite . Students should bring blank paper for quizzes to laboratory meetings. Students will need to use their gatorlink user name and password to access the website. If you have difficulty gaining access to the website, try typing in ufad\ followed by you gatorlink username.
