Sometimes, people who are CEOs or directors shouldn’t occupy their positions, as very often they are not well prepared, or worse, they might be people with a criminal record. It doesn’t necessarily mean that these people shouldn’t do their jobs. They should, and also should be given the same chances as others, but what if their records have been concealed from the public or other parties and now they pose threat to others? Certainly, this was the case in the history of pastor and two students who had to have psychological therapy. The good question is: who will pay for their treatment? Is there any liability for the school?

Unformatted text preview: To start with, lets discuss some important aspects relevant in our case. A tort is a private wrong. When a tort is committed, the party that was injured is entitled to collect compensation for damages from the wrongdoer for the private wrong torts. There are three types of torts: intentional torts, negligence and liability. In our case we are dealing with the first and the second one. An example of the intentional tort would be: Conclusion: In my opinion, aunts Theresa responsibility was to inform the board about the dark past of her nephew i.e. the pastor. She didnt do it, because probably she is pastors aunt and family and she wanted to protect him....
