In order to ethically analyze this model, I will use the Front Page of the Newspaper Test. Sometimes we cannot talk to people or simply negotiate with them because they don’t listen to us and they don’t want to stop doing bad things. In order to fight the unethical behavior of the CEO it seems that I will have to use a newspaper’s authority. The Front Page of the Newspaper test is a model which could be kind of a warning to some parties and help innocent people who have been accused of doing something wrong or it could even destroy someone’s life. This model can also shed a light on a case. Suppose, that we don’t have any other means to solve unethical problem, so the idea of this model is to use a newspaper to write about a problem or to reveal a scandal. According to Jennings, this model “requires only that a decision maker envision how a reporter would describe a decision on the front page of a local or national newspaper.” I think that because of the rapid development of technology, the application of this model could be extended onto Internet, as well. For example, we can buy the New York Times newspaper and read about an article from the front page, but an individual can also read the same article on the Internet for free. More and more people are reading electronic articles and this is the reason the newspapers are so influential nowadays. In other words, this model wants people who make decisions to think one more time and try to read the virtual front page of the hypothetical newspaper, before they make a final decision. Therefore, this idea might be a good way to prevent some unethical decisions, because most people should be afraid of the newspaper’s power. Fortunately, this model can be also useful, because sometimes front page articles say that “what he or she did deserves the highest praise.” Unfortunately, 90% of the stuff that we
