They are used every week for biological process demonstration and virtual lab experiences and for collecting and analyzing data. We have instruments electronically linked to the computers to collect data. These and other data are analyzed in a spreadsheet and other software to develop models and visualization (graphing). It is not possible to teach the labs without the use of computers. We utilize i-MAC computers for this purpose. • With the computers we can simulate the modern laboratory experience; without them we would accomplish less than half of what we do now and we would be providing a laboratory experience inferior to most high school laboratory experiences.
