Unformatted text preview: New Student Orientation 2009-2010 ETF Proposal Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs How Funds Will Be Used New Student Orientation is requesting 375 clickers (classroom response system) and the required respondor to be used primarily during the various New Student Orientation programs and for our Orientation Counselor Training course (ECD 223). The clickers may also be utilized by other units within the Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs (DUAP) for teaching and training opportunities. Impact on Student Education and Program Providing Orientation for all incoming freshmen and transfer students requires students to attend in large numbers; the typical range for freshmen groups is 150-350 students and the range for transfer students in between 350-500. New Student Orientation is a mandatory program for all incoming students because it provides students with information essential to their success including expectations for them as members of the NC State community. Clickers will assist presenters during the Orientation programs to make their the NC State community....
