Welcome to Personal Computer Applications! I am happy to have you aboard. This course is strictly online, using eLearning. You can access eLearning by going to the following Website: . Going straight to the Website is the BEST way to get there, versus traversing several links to get into Argus and then into eLearning. I suggest you bookmark the direct link, as you will be visiting it often. The textbook is required for this course. Get it as soon as possible, as we will be jumping right in. (Note: I keep four copies of our text on four-hour reserve at the Pace library for students in this course.) If you do not have the suite Office 2010, you are NOT required to buy it. All UWF labs will have Office 2010 (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) for student use. For those at a distance or those who just want to work from home, UWF offers a utility called eDesktop that will allow you to "remote" to UWF to use software as if you were in one of the UWF labs. A high-speed Internet connection is the only requirement to use eDesktop. See the Software tab in Argus and the eDesktop content pages in our course on eLearning for more information. If you do wish to buy Office 2010, realize that not all versions contain Access (the database software). If you don't foresee using Access outside of this class, you can buy a
