Session 2, Ethics, Morals, and the legal system, continued: Overview: This weeks material was introduced last week and covers Ethics, Morals, and the Legal System. After completion of lecture 2 a student is expected to be able to: Describe the American legal system including: What law is, The sources of law, Various legal forums applicable to healthcare, The adjudicatory steps in those legal forums; The difference between law and morality, and also, Master some basic legal terminology. Additionally, after completing this week's assignments, you will take the quiz for sessions one and two. Content: In this second session you will view the Narrated PowerPoint that was introduced in the last session. Session #2 begins at slide #40. Here is the note-taking guide again. Additionally, here is the entire presentation, with the narration TYPED onto each slide. Finally, links to some of the readings for this week are provided here [ ]. Don't delay, make sure you have a hardcopy of this textbook for the remainder of the course!
