Jennifer Call Professor Davis FWS: The Mystery In the Story A Story Versus A Reality Mysteries, thrillers, whodunits, and other exhilarating pieces of work are filled with symbolism, foreshadowing, and thought provoking implications. The audience is captivated by an introduction, a collection of unexplained occurrences, and an illuminating finale. Readers expect logical and analytical reasoning behind the events of this type of piece. Therefore, the author provides them with what they want by neatly wrapping up the story so he or she can get on with life and the business of selling the piece of work. Unsolved mysteries, fraudulent theories, and unanswered questions cause dissonance. Although people want an orderly and precise series of actions leading up to the ending, that is not how real life always works. A person with professional capabilities and investigative tendencies may have to research the chaos and dispose of unnecessary information while giving detailed proof and rationalization to more meaningful material. That is where I come in. Allow me to introduce myself. I am a civil lawyer, a colleague of Alan Dershowitz, and a challenger of the story written by Sophocles that condemns Oedipus to patricide and incest. I will summarize what this author has led people to believe about Oedipus, validate background information, and offer an accurate explanation with compelling justification that will explain the mystery. The plot began with desperate civilians crying for Oedipus’ help. Creon, Oedipus’ brother-in-law, explained that a plague was killing an outrageous number of people and was the result of religious pollution, caused by the person who murdered Laius, Oedipus' predecessor as king.
