ASSIGNMENT: RECORD CONTROLS Paper records have many different locations in the department where they can be located. In a small facility records are usually found at the front desk or set aside for the physician signature. In a medium facility records can be located in the patient’s room bin or in the record room. The facility similarities are that each files can be found nearly everywhere in the department. The differences are the facility are not securely keeping track on where the patient’s file are being placed, which can lead to loss or wrong paper file in the wrong patient record. Paper records need to be chart from one location to another so the staff members know where files are kept. Small facility are either sign in or out, when taken out of the record room. Medium facility so not chart where patients records are kept. There are no similarities but the differences are that some facility do not chart where patient records are being kept which can lead to missing files. What is the biggest problem that may occur in a facility if record management is not done correctly? In a small and medium facility where they do paper filing, records can be loss,
