Primatology:  study of primates.  How they communicate, parent, etc. Reconstruct cultural/social aspects of human evolution. Archeology Deals with pre-history minus written documents. Artifacts:   Deposition:  how artifacts are deposited at a site.  Stratigraphy:  layers.  Allows you to link sites in time. Perseveration:  how long has the object been preserved. Materiality of Archeology: Environment/economy Long-term social change
