LIQUID PENETRANT EXAMINATION TRAINING - Course No.001 The objective of this course is to provide the minimum Liquid Penetrant Training required for individuals seeking Certification to Level II Penetrant Inspectors in accordance with the American Society for Nondestructive Testing Standard SNT- TC-1A. People who should attend include: manufacturers and process engineers production supervisors and managers quality control managers and technicians nondestructive technicians seeking certification in additional testing methods independent auditors vendor surveillance representatives who may be required to witness liquid penetrant examination inspection being performed Topics to be covered include: 1. Introduction a) Brief history of nondestructive testing and liquid penetrant testing b) Purpose of liquid penetrant testing c) Basic principles of liquid penetrant testing d) Types of liquid penetrants commercially available 2.
