CODE OF ETHICS 2 Code of Ethics Introduction Organization’s goals and ethical principles Organization’s culture and ethical decision-making Children’s National Hospital’s culture places a big role in ethical decision- making within the organization. Culture can be defined as a set of values, beliefs, goals, norms and ways to solve problems that employees of an organization share (Nguyen, n.d.). Children’s National Hospital originates back to the 1870s, serving our nation’s children for over 140 years. Now patients from all around the world seek care and treatment from Children’s National Hospitals, which is the largest non-government provider of primary care. Now this organization provides primary health centers, regional outpatient centers, and affiliated pediatric primary and specialty practice throughout metropolitan areas. Children’s National has more than 6,000 employees, located throughout over 3o facilities. This organization has set a One Team values system to guide them in their ethical decision- making. The value system states “to do the right thing, create a safe day every day, promote
