Seth Klebe 3/30/11 Dear Valerie, I don’t exactly remember how to start off this letter, but I think I got the gist. Besides the lovely GE credit of this class, I want to be able to let loose. When I was younger, I was one of those theater kids that loved plays, and who did them during the school year and in the summers until high school. Then, I stopped and moved onto other things. However, I remember how much joy I got from spending time with the other thespians, and how rewarding a show could go. Through this class I think I’ll be able to feel that same reward while having a great time. There are definitely some characters, myself included, in the class and I really look forward to getting to know them on a level most classes don’t even begin to offer. So back to “letting loose.” At school I definitely feel stress. Classes, roommate issues, not getting enough sleep, subpar diet,

Unformatted text preview: and the list goes on. I want a place where I can just leave that all at the door and get a little silly. I’m fine with going out of my comfort zone because sometimes, that’s when I feel the most alive. I feel like I picked a good class to de-stress in because the course load is reasonable, and the curriculum is definitely alternative to sitting in lecture, which can get old. I also really hope I can pick up some of the actor skills that you mentioned because being able to look through the World through as many lenses as possible sheds light on things that I would otherwise disregard without a second glance. Overall, I hope to have some fun, see terrific performances, learn a few things, and meet some great people. I need a good signoff statement so I’m going to go with the classic “TTFN,”-Seth Klebe...
