Seth Klebe T.A Dean PS 7 8/12/2011 Paper Outline 1. For my research topic I would like to look into the relationship that the U.S. has with china. I specifically want to look into the types of power that the countries both exert toward each other, how tension is growing between them, what economic ties they share, and what scholars say with regards to the future of the two countries. The question I want to pose is, “As the balance of power between China and the United States shifts, how will the countries still remain dependent on one another, and what does that mean for the rest of the World?” I feel like this question will be easily relatable to IR topics and can help explain the complexities of power. 2. My question is important to know because as U.S. citizens, we should understand the nature of how our own power has been shifting away from us. Our economy has been declining, china has been buying out debt, we are in debt, we are still at war, and China is growing. These situations are going to lead to some very big
