10/12 Notes First practice round for Capstone is this Wednesday First round decisions turned in Monday Groups of 4-5, Electronic Sensor company Practice teams will be posted on website Wednesday morning 10/14 Winning Presentations Marketing fundamentals T.A. office hours o Monday: 6-7 Bren Hall 3526 o Tuesday: 1-2 Bren Hall 3526 How to Deliver a Disastrous Presentation Do not rehearse: “I’ll wing it” Do not tell your audience why you are there Tell audience what you’re going to say, say it and then tell them what you said, repetition Use as many slides as possible Read text-heavy slides to audience Read every word off slide Face the screen, no direct eye contact Constructing a Winning Presentation Know the audience, do research Know your material, be able to answer any question that could be asked Practice three key messages , consistency o Audience cannot absorb too much information Know how to use PC, projector, and props; be prepared with your presentation Low tech can work:
