TELENCEPHALON Expands and grows out, sometimes everts (next slide), inside are lateral ventricles. Dorsal = pallium lateral pallium = olfaction medial pallium (hippocampus of mammals). Part of limbic system – mood, memory, self-awareness, self- preservation. Ventral = subpallium
