The way you will know if an equation has infinitely many solutions is if when you are solving the equation you have the same number on both sides of the equal sign. The way you will know if an equation has no solution is if no matter what number is put into a variable you cannot get an answer. With the problem 2x=2x-1 the 2x cancel each other out so you would get 0=-1 and we know that 0 does not equal -1 therefore this would be an example of an equation that has no solution....
