Unformatted text preview: URP6271 Customizing Planning Information Systems HOMEWORK #3 : Maps and Layers Due : See Calender Points : 20 The purpose of this assignment is to give students hands-on practice with map layers and listbox controls. In this assignment you will create a form as shown in figure 2 below. The form should: a. Open from a custom button on the ArcMap interface as shown in the figure 1 below: Figure 1 The button image and the tooltip should be as shown in figure 1 above. b. The button should be grayed out if there are no layers in the active (focus) map. To accomplish this you will need to program the enabled property of the button. c. When clicked on, the button should open the form in figure 2 below as modeless. d. The listbox control of the form should display the names of the layers of the active map (focus map). The name of the first layer should appear selected when the form opens. e. The turn on/off button should turn the corresponding layer in the view on or off and the view should be refreshed. The images used for the on/off buttons can be found at C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Bin\Icons. They refreshed....
