Missy Finan ENG 111 Writers Summary 11/11/10 Writer’s Letter This paper was a little harder to write than I expected. I saw myself taking one side more than the other. At the end of the paper I ended up just hurling things at BP for all the mistakes they have made. I tried my best to explore both sides, it just came out that I found which side I was really on as I was writing. I started by trying to state the facts and get them lined out. I found many different sources for this that gave a time line, and finally settled on one that seemed to have all the

Next I tried exploring the side of those hurt by the Oil Spill; the fisherman and house owners that all lost money and their way of life. Last I explored the side that BP was doing all they could. This side was harder to explore because when I found something that made BP look good, there was always some underlying factor that canceled that out. It didn’t take long at all for me to decide which side I was on while writing this paper, and hopefully it was persuasive to you as well....
