I do, in fact, think the term "Darwinism" is over used. The Science of Evolution is much more than just Darwin's ideas, and needs to be taught  as such. Reconstructing is surely the only way to do this. Children deserve to learn the depth of the vast amount of knowledge that has been  collected over the years so that in the future they might be able to further expand on our current view of evolution.  In our botany class specifically, I do not think that the idea of Darwinism is over used. We are taught much more and actually learned the
