This breakwater was built to create a wild-life habitat. Primitive breakwaters used since ancient times. Types of breakwaters: (1) Composite breakwaters; (2) Rubble-mound breakwaters; (3) Vertical wall breakwaters; (4) Floating wave attenuator. (1) Composite Breakwaters: This is the originally created breakwater in ancient ports (eg., Bilbos, etc); It is easily damaged; It is a learning tool for future designs; Not commonly used.
