East River (New York City). Santiago Calatrava’a proposed design of twelve (12) glass town houses on New York’s East River. Each apartment is 45 feet square, attached to a central vertical core, with a height of 835 feet. Each cube is cantilevered from the vertical core truss, and provides full floor terraces and gardens. Two exposed spines will connect the cubes along opposite outer walls. When completed in 2007, each apartment will cost 30 million dollars.
