Prathyusha Yanigandla Response Paper 1 “Why I got a tattoo and how it has to do with creationism” Tattoos are a form of self-expression, as well as a form of creation, similar to how I thought of it as when I got my tattoo done. They are not found in the average, although more and more people are adhering to the trend of tattooing, it’s still not common and sets people apart. Because it’s different, those who have it are set apart for judgment by others in the society. What’s unique about tattoo art is that it is on your body, which is set up for controversy by others in society. Tattooing is a permanent type of art that requires the injection of into your skin. When getting a tattoo it is painful because it goes through your skin. Since tattooing in voluntary and people opt to undergo the pain just to get the inked art on their body, it gives in to the stereotype that those people who have undergone that are “hardcore” and tough.
