BCN 5618 3 Raceways   Rigid galvanized steel (RGS) conduit is the safest system.   Conduit systems may also be aluminum or electrical metallic tubing (EMT).   Flexible conduit, or Greenfield, is easier to install.   Where codes allow, the least expensive method of wiring is pre-wired armored cable (BX) or non-metallic sheathed cable (NM) such as Romex.
