1 Web of Science tutorial The Web of Science is an excellent online database which you can use to search for and download scientific journal articles. Cornell has an institutional subscription to Web of Science, so students can use it for free. 1) To access Web of Science, go to the Cornell University Library home page ( http://www.library.cornell.edu/ ) and click on “Database Names”, then type in “web of science”. 2) If necessary, enter your Cornell NetID and Password to log into the Cornell Library system. 3) In the list of search results, click on “Web of science”. 4) This will take you to the main search page for the Web of Science database.
