COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to prepare students for first year Calculus courses. Topics
include language and notation of mathematics; problem solving; algebraic, exponential,
logarithmic and trigonometric functions and their graphs.

PREREQUITE:
BC Principles of Mathematics 11 (or equivalent) with a grade of at least 70%, or SFU
FAN099 with a grade of at least C, or achieving a satisfactory grade on the SFU
Quantitative Placement Tests. Students with credit for MATH110 may not take
MATH100 for further credit. MATH100 may not be counted towards the
mathematics minor, major or honors degree requirements.

DETAILED SUMMARY OF EVALUATION SCHEME
There will be two quizzes, two Midterms and a final.
You must give advance notice if
you have to miss any quiz or test due to emergencies, otherwise it will be counted as 0
for the grade.
There will be no makeup exams.
Their weightings are as follows:
