Statistical Information Pros Cons Official Information: Uniform Crime Report (UCR) 1. The UCR is the most widely used source of national crime and delinquency . 2. The UCR is compiled from statistics sent to the FBI from more than seventeen thousand police departments. 1. Due to the UCR being disaggregated, the number of teenagers arrested does not represent the actual number of youths who have committed delinquent acts. 2. The total number of arrests does not equal the number of people who have been arrested. Unofficial Information: Self-Report Data 1. Self- Report Data is designed to obtain information from youthful subjects about their violations of the law.
