ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR Case 11: Why Are We Losing All Our Good People? Several talented employees have recently left the Sambian Partners, an architecture and engineering firm. Helen Gasbarian, the CEO who took the reins following her father’s death in 1997 has no idea why Sambian keep losing its good people as she thinks the people were treated very well. She is wondering it is a trend or just a coincidence. Tom Forsythe, the company’s top architecture is leaving to enter a partnership with the J&N, Sambian’s competitor. Tom refuses to tell the real reasons why he was unhappy in Sambian to the head of human resources, Mary Donillo. The other employees are also feeling the negative effects of the increase in departures and discussing the possible causes of the exodus. From the conversation between them, it can be seen that there is a lack of support structure for the architecture to get their designs seen and sold.
