Please print and read carefully several times. This document is too lengthy to cover in class. Please bring any questions about the course to the first class…. .thank you. Enrolment Deadline Some sections might still have seats available. If your desired section is full for Summer 2011 keep in mind that is normally some attrition in the first two weeks and a waiting list is maintained with the Receptionist at 282 Atkinson. It is the student’s responsibility to regularly check the availability of seats and register when a spot becomes available. The Course Directors are not involved in the registration process in any way. Because of the high volume of material covered (5 chapters in the first three weeks and early evaluations in this course, no registration under any circumstances is permitted after the “last date to enroll without permission date”. As a multi-section course, the common midterm exams in ADMS1500 will be on Wednesday May 25 th and Wednesday June 29 th both exams will be held in class. Final exams are scheduled by the York Registrar in the formal August exam slot between August 2 nd and August 12 th this timetable is released mid-semester. The schedule of the midterms is designed to minimize conflicts. If you have a conflict properly documented it has to be communicated in written (e-mail will be adequate) to your course director at least 2 weeks in advance ( May 11 th and June 15 th are the last dates to do so). Course Director Narmin Multani ([email protected]) Calendar Course Description An introduction to accounting covering basic concepts in financial accounting, managerial accounting and finance and their interrelationships. This course satisfies a curriculum requirement of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario. Note: This course does not qualify towards the BAS degree. Course credit exclusions: AP/ADMS 2500 3.00, AP/ADMS 2510 3.00 and former AK/ADMS2500 3.00 and AK/ADMS 2510 3.00. Prerequisites
